Gerald Paul Kasaato

Chief Investment Officer, National Social Security Fund Uganda

Mr. Gerald Paul Kasaato is the Chief Investment Officer of the National Social Security Fund a semi-autonomous provident fund with assets under management of approximately $USD 2.7 Billion. Gerald joined the National Social Security Fund in 2011 as portfolio manager in charge of equities and was appointed Chief Investment Officer in January 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors (Bsc Hons) in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK), an MBA in Finance from the University of Exeter (UK) and an Msc in International Finance and Investment from London South Bank University (UK)-with Distinction. Gerald is a Chartered Accountant (UK)—a Fellow, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) UK, a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and a candidate (June 2019, Level III) on the CFA program. Gerald is also a Director at Yield Fund Uganda a 20-million-euro private equity fund and TPS (Serena Hotel) Uganda Limited.
