  • Special Assistant and Chief of Staff to the President of the ADB, African Development Bank (Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire – 1992/1995);
  • First President of BAI – Banco Angolano de
  • Investimento/Angolan Investment Bank (Luanda, Angola – 1995/1997), the first private Angolan bank;
  • Governor of the Angolan Central Bank (1998/2002), the Angolan monetary authority, regulator and supervisor of the bank sector;
  • Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Angolan Economic Team and in this capacity responsible for the coordination of monetary, fiscal and revenue policies, and public investment program (2002/2007);
  • President of ANIP (Angolan Agency for Private Investment – 2008/2010), the new one-stop shop, which replaced Foreign Investment Board, responsible for private investment promotion, appraisal and approval, and for granting incentives to private investors;
  • President of ARSEG (Angolan Regulatory Agency of Insurance Supervision), currently (from 2013 up to now). ARSEG regulates and supervises the insurance, reinsurance and pension funds sectors
    and coordinates its actions with IAIS (International Association of Insurance Supervision) and IOPS (International Organization of Pensions Supervisors);
  • MBA Professor at the Angolan Catholic University, Catholic University of Oporto and Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, lecturing Public Finances and Economic Law, currently;
  • Vice President of Africa Re (Africa Reinsurance Corporation): elected at the general assembly of Africa Re, held in Abidjan in June 2017, for a three-year mandate. Africa Re provides reinsurance services for African reinsurers.
