Ms. Kirima is a recognized giant in the Retirement Fund Industry in Southern Africa and across the continent. Ms. Kirima firstly is a board member of BATSETA Council of Retirement Funds for South Africa where she was previously the Chairperson (under the previous name Principal Officers Association). Ms. Kirima is also an Advisory Committee Member on the Southern African Pension Fund Investment Forum (SAPFIF), and Ms. Kirima is on the Steering Committee of the Pension Fund Forum where she chairs the Principal Officer and Trustees Forum. Ms. Kirima is a regular speaker and contributor at African and Global conferences.
Ms. Kirima has been an Independent Board/Committee member for Companies, Pension Regulators, Retirement Schemes and Medical Schemes over the last 30 years. Her experience is not only from South Africa but from across Africa (Kenya, Botswana, Nigeria, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Ivory Coast, Uganda and Tanzania).
In terms of high profile individual appointments, some of these positions are:
-Trustee; Momentum/Metropolitan (FundsAtWorks) Umbrella Funds, and Momentum Corporate Retirement Funds (Chairperson of the Finance and Investment Committee, member of the Audit Committee)
