The only dedicated Pension Funds and Alternative Investment show in Africa is, this year, virtual, and brings you a whole month of webinars, masterclass training sessions and a 2-day lead virtual conference!
The 4th Pension Funds and Alternative Investments Africa is now live under the theme “The Developmental Impact of Pension Funds Allocating Capital in a Broad-based Economy”. This edition happens under the virtual format for the safety and security of all attendees, gathering a total of 282 attendees and 60 representatives of Pension Funds and Wealth Funds from 25 countries. The 2021 virtual edition brings new faces from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Cote D’Ivoire, Cameroon, Seychelles, and Madagascar, and a total of 59 speakers across 14 sessions and 2 masterclasses.
During the month of March, PIAfrica brings a panoply of pre and post events discussing the Pension Funds & alternative investments markets, available to all participants.

The first executive day included sessions of debate focused on: alternatives of investment, relaunching economies through infrastructure investment models, and the private equity and venture capital’s role in catalyzing sustainable investment. Meanwhile, the second day, taking place on 19 March, includes sessions of debate that will cover the role of regulatory authorities and capital markets in fostering developmental impact, structuring and risk mitigation, repatriation of capital, exchange controls, contract enforcement, and on moving beyond traditional investment income sources.
PIAfrica brings together the representatives from leading Pension Funds and Investment companies to share their views on the investment climate, strategies, challenges to overcome and new opportunities available to savvy investors. The event is designated to promote the diversification in the portfolio of Pension Funds and asset managers, as well as promote alternative investments in the African markets.
